In the very heart of Kuldīga’s Old Town, on Town Hall Square, you’ll find Pagrabiņš — a place where history, local charm and good food have come together for more than 25 years.

OUR STORY

Est. 2001

Pagrabiņš opened its doors on August 12, 2001. Since then, it has welcomed both locals and visitors to Kuldīga. Over 25 years, Pagrabiņš has become part of the city - a place locals have known for years and visitors discover while exploring the Old Town.

Historic setting

History that still lives on

Pagrabiņš is located in the historic cellars of Kuldīga’s old Town Hall. Built in the 17th century, the building is one of the city’s oldest wooden structures, while the vaulted cellars once housed the town prison. Today, those same rooms are filled with a very different atmosphere - conversation, laughter and relaxed meals.

Food & Atmosphere

Where time slows down

The menu features soups, salads, hot dishes, desserts and flavours of traditional Latvian cuisine. Portions are generous, while the historic vaults, stone walls and cosy alcoves create a truly distinctive atmosphere.

In summer, guests can enjoy two terraces, one overlooking the Alekšupīte River, while in the colder months a warm stove makes the space even more inviting for a relaxed meal.
